It had been very long time since i last watched a Bollywood movie. Last week while i was wandering around searching about new releases, i came across “Dangerous Ishq”. I consulted a few Hindustani friends and got negative feedback, which encouraged me to watch the movie surely due that  my taste and tastes of my friends are totally unmatching. And i did not regret my choice/decision, which was a bit risky indeed.

I had no idea/info about the leading actor of the movie, whose name is Rajneesh Duggal. He was not bad at all in all those different outlooks in the movie. And as for the Karisma Kapoor, it felt good to see her back on screens. Comparing to her old movies (very few of them i saw), she still has a good-looking and is surely talented.

Regarding the topic, my mouth is zipped yet only clue is “reincarnation”. Add some love story and enmity to it, which equals to a high level bollywood in calculation :)) Seriously speaking, i can say it was neither good nor bad, but an average time pass. So in total it can be ranked as 7/10.

Songs were good and soothing. You can find my favorite one below. Hope you like it as well.

Cheers,

Choti

25 Facts About Me…Tag Tag!

smile030No need to make an introduction, right? I am sure you already guessed that i am tagged by Sree once again…i should say i love tags because on each tag i know more details about my blogger friends and in the same way i let them know about me more…and i find every tiny miny detail quite interesting as minor reasons in life might cause major results 🙂

Here is the rule…i should write 25 facts about me…it can be about my life, my habits, hobbies, fantasies, achievements, aims…etc…etc..and then tag 25 people in return…lets start!

  1. I hate monday mornings as i am not able to wake up early in the morning and come into my senses properly at least till 10 am. And did you notice tomorrow is Monday? 😡
  2. No matter what i cannot decide about my favourite Bollywood movie, one day it is Veer-Zara, the other day it is Devdas, and some other day it is Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge…but under any condition i cannot vote for the best as each and every SRK movie is already the best!
  3. I cannot stop myself from spending on books and movies. Although i am quite slow at reading lately due to lack of time, i am still fast at purchasing books 😀
  4. Recently i lost a precious friend and it is one of my biggest regrets in life! (I cannot blame either myself or my friend, but just life)
  5. I am a coward, i cannot watch any horror movies. If i watch just by chance/coincidence, i am not able to sleep alone/in dark for days 😀
  6. As the time passes, i am becoming more and more homebody, less and less social. My leisure time activities quite decreased in time. Does it mean i am getting older? 😆
  7. I cannot speak proper Hindi and that drives me crazy. I guess I should try harder…The best sentence i can construct in Hindi is “Main achchi hindi bol nahi sakti hoon” (hope it is correct lol)
  8. My favourite song changes every week, and i can spend the whole week just listening to the very same song consuming it to the end; this week’s song is “hum ne suna hai” from Mere Yaar Ki Shadi Hai.
  9. i quitted celebrating my birthday and at the same time i started to forget my friend’s birthdays (Accordingly, i am sure Mr. Sree will remind me of his birthday leaving a comment here *angel looks*)
  10. I love coke. Drinking coke is a habit of mine but unfortunately i am forbidden by my doctor from drinking it as it is unhealty 😦
  11. Lately i have been to various hospitals due to some health issues of mine…for now i am pretty good (shukar hai), as a matter of fact  i don’t want to see any doctor ever again (lets see how long will it be possible :p)
  12. I am looking forward to spring. I want to wear lighter clothes and to feel the sunshine on my face and to smell the fresh daisies…I wonder when i will be able to open my eyes a sunny morning…
  13. My mom’s birthday is quite near and i am planning to surprise her with a cute gift 😀
  14. Checking my blog status every day, i see many visitors but i wonder why most of the time they just pass by without dropping any comment…come on guys i am sure you have something to say on my posts :p
  15. The more i think (about anything) the more i get confused :S
  16. I hate being a pessimistic person but i cannot help thinking in a negative way. How to get rid of it?!
  17. I love spending time in bookstores, touching the covers of books and feeling the dusty smell of the shelves and hearing the sounds of the characters sheltered among pages.
  18. I already started to plan my summer vacation. I have a wedding to attend this summer and i am so excited about it as it will be an occasion to recollect my old memories.
  19. I am an indecisive person. I cannot make up my mind quickly when i am stuck between two things. If you offer me a chocolate and a bowl of icecream, i might think over it for hours and at the end someone else eat the chocolate and icecream melts already; that is why i miss many opportunities in life 😆
  20. I love daisies…the white ones…they look so pure and innocent…
  21. An indian friend of mine living and working in the same city with me, just got married in india and came back. I haven’t seen my bhabi yet, soon to be met 🙂
  22. This week i realized that i love buying cosmetic stuff but not using them as during the whole week i just put on make up only two days (well i am a natural-born-lazy plus i have a natural beauty 😆
  23. Since i watched the garba dance scene in the movie Pride and Prejudice, i want to learn it but there is no one to teach me 😦
  24. I would love to have a saree but i don’t know how and where to wear it lol
  25. Number 25 is spared for a confession which is i found it quite difficult to recollect 25 items about myself :p

Well i don’t have 25 people to tag…so anyone interested can take it up…i would love to hear about different lives 🙂

Director: Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra
Lyrics: Prasoon Joshi
Starring: Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Om Puri, Divya Dutta
Song Title: Rehna Tu

Rehna Tu Lyrics

Rehna tu hai jaisa tu,
Thoda sa dard tu, thoda sukoon,
Rehna tu hai jaisa tu,
Dheema dheema jhonkha,
Ya fir junoon,
Thoda sa resham tu humdum,
Thoda sa khurdura,
Kabhi to add jaaye ya lad jaaye,
Ya khushbu se bhara,
Tujhe badalna naa chahu,
Ratti bhar bhi sanam,
Bina sawajat, milawat,
Naa zyada naa hi kam,
Tujhe chahun jaisa hai tu,
Mujhe teri baarish mein bheegna hai, ghuljaana hai,
Tujhe chahun jaisa hai tu,
Mujhe teri lapat mein jalna, raakh ho jaana hai..

Tu zakhm de agar,
Marham bhi aake tu lagaye,
Zakhm pe bhi mujhko pyaar aaye,
Dariyaa o dariyaa,
Doobne de mujhe dariyaa,
Doobne de mujhe dariyaa,
Rehna tu hai jaisa tu,
Thoda sa dard tu, thoda sukoon,
Rehna tu hai jaisa tu,
Dheema dheema jhonkha,
Ya fir junoon…

Haath thaam chalna ho,
To dono ke daaye haath sang kaise,
Haath thaam chalna ho,
To dono ke daaye haath sang kaise,
Ek daaya hoga, ek baaya hoga,
Thaam le haath yeh thaam le,
Chalna hai sang thaam le..

Rehna tu hai jaisa tu,
Thoda sa dard tu, thoda sukoon,
Rehna tu hai jaisa tu,
Dheema dheema jhonkha,
Ya fir junoon,
Thoda sa resham tu humdum,
Thoda sa khurdura,
Kabhi to add jaaye ya lad jaaye,
Ya khushbu se bhara,
Tujhe badalna naa chahu,
Ratti bhar bhi sanam,
Bina sawajat, milawat,
Naa zyada naa hi kam,
Tujhe chahun jaisa hai tu,
Mujhe teri baarish mein bheegna hai, ghuljaana hai
Tujhe chahun jaisa hai tu,
Mujhe teri lapat mein jalna, raakh ho jaana hai..

Ghajini

ghajini2At weekend i had the chance to see Ghajini after being recommended by friends many times as they think i kind of make injustice towards Amir Khan, seeing only Shah Rukh Khan movies and ignoring Amir’s. However, the case is not like tht at all. I also see AK movies and most of them i find quite successful such as Lagaan, Dil Chahta Hai, Rang De Basanti, etc. but unfortunately Ghajini is not one of them.

As matter of subject, it was just copy of the Hollywood movie Momento. It was not based on inspiration, was lack of creative items. I do not mind copying this and that as long as one can add to it and can make it develop further.

I did not like the leading actress as well (Asin). She was too random.

But i cannot object the success of AK’s excellent acting talent under any condition.

Songs were not good, as they were mostly got stuck between being wild or mild.

Overall, i had nice time while watching at least a Bollywood movie with one of the big stars in it–Amir Khan–but if i am to rate it, i just give 3/5.

YES MAN / BAY EVET

yes_manLately i was looking for some chick-flick movie to distract my mind from the earthly problems of daily life and at last i got it….”Yes Man” is another fun movie by Jim Carrey…it is an easy-going one without making you think…Well i enjoyed and laughed a lot even i was not sincere while enjoying. One needs to have a peaciful background while enjoying in real sense…right?

All in all if your mind is stuck with things and if you are searching for an escape…it is highly recommended:)

2883034971_9c1c7da028Wake up very late today as if i wanted to get rid of all the exhausting load of the last week on my shoulder…Prepared my luggage (which took quite a lot of hours as i am usually an indecisive soul)…After completing every task before my trip, i had a long afternoon all free…so i decided to go to cinema after so many days without the big screen…

This time i chose a Turkish movie (which i usually dont prefer to see) named  “Osmanlı Cumhuriyeti” (Ottoman Republic)…I was really surprised at the movie because i was not expecting such a success…The movie searches the question what would happen if the Turkish Republic was not established and again what would it like be if the Ottoman Empire still exists…It shows various possibilities combining both the future and the past, encountering both the internal and external forces over the country…the storyline of the movie was quite clear, well-detailed and decorated with comedy items…

I found Ata Demirer quite successful as an actor, the emperor role fitted him quite much…The views from Dolmabahce Palace were fascinating as well…

When the movie ended, and when my eyes were stuck on the black screen, the sole thought in my mind was how proud i am of my country!

Broken English!

broken-englishSunday! Movie Day! Actually i love watching movies each day of my life but my Sundays are solely spared for it…So today’s movie was Broken English. I just loved the movie…it was not conveying any economical, political, philosophical etc etc contents but it was about love and that was enough for me!

There is a woman in her thirties (Nora). She has been quite unsuccessful in her relations with men. In most of the cases the story ends in bed, most of the men are too away from a contract/promise/eagerness towards a marriage and/or settled relation. They are mostly fond of one-night-stands or seeing any and many women whenever or wherever they feel like. In search of true love Nora meets a French hunk (Julien) and at the end she finds herself looking for him in the streets of Paris…

The movie tells us different languages/cultures may seem like obstacles in front of love but true love can speak any language!

2806676942686d63337eaq5It is almost midnight! I still feel the taste of latte I drank a few minutes ago sitting in front of a bookstore, watching the colorful front covers of the books and thinking at the same time about the movie I’ve just seen–Un Giorno Perfetto (Eng. A Perfect Day/ Tr. Mükemmel Bir Gün).

A divorced couple in Italy. The husband is obsessed with his ex-wife, so going under a psychological treatment to get rid of this extreme love (obsession) but it does not look so possible. The wife is trying to forget her husband and strugling hard to stand on her own feet taking care of her two children as well. A small son of theirs is totally innocent and half-aware of what is going around him. A teenage daughter of the same family is aware of everything and trying to initiate reconciliation between her mom and dad. Generally looking, each member of an already dissolved family tries to re-gain and maintain its own particles (bits of life)!

This movie gave me another chance to appreciate Ferzan Ozpetek once more. HE again put his signature under such a nice movie. Till now I have seen 6 movies by Ferzan Ozpetek (Which are Le Fate Ignoranti, Hamam, Harem Suare, Saturno Contro, La Finestra di Fronte and Un Giorno Perfetto), and they always left me in a stuation where it is like drinking a milky coffee with a small bar of dark choclate…feeling the bitter truths of life, still finding gaps where you are able to smile!

Attention: Karz

Dear All,,,,

If you come across with the movie Karz by any chance, just run away and try to save your soul before it gets dirty with this bullshit and nonsense junk movie. Himesh is such a catastophe that after watching the movie you want to kill yourself…lol

The soundtrack is also cheap and useless without any emotion…

Seriously, keep away from this time-waste!!!!

Safar-e Ghandehar

It is one of my favourite timepass to visit the huge book&DVD shop just near to my office…so most of the time after leaving the office, i just go and check some books and movies…Lately i saw this movie DVD (Safar-e Ghandehar), i took it from the shelf, i examined its cover, i read the exerpt and i placed it back on the shelf at least ten times. However, for a change, i purschased it at the weekend and watched it the very same day.

I dont know how to explain how striking the realities in the movie. Even some small, unimportant scenes brought tears to my eyes. It was a story of a hope owned by tired souls of Afghanistan. Devasted but hopeful hearts. It was different so i simply couldnt make up my mind what to or how to feel in various scenes.

In the movie, shortly an Afghan woman living in Canada is going back to Kandahar to save her sister who is at the threshold of committing a suicide. The woman is struggling with a dangerous journey, the bitter realieties she comes across in the middle of the road touch the audience’s hearts as well as hers. And the journey ends in an abrupt way leaving the audience with a riddle hard to solve despite many clues at hand!

* Recharging, I am a robot

I am sure almost all of you have heard about one of the famous books of Jules Verne which is Journey to the Center of the Earth. After this exciting and fantastic fiction now it is time to meet its fascinating movie with the leading cast Brandan Fraser, Josh Hutcherson and Anita Briem.

Although the story line has nothing new to give you apart from what Jules Verne given to the reader, and at the same time although it is away from the details hidden in the book, the technology applied in the movie is its main and foremost feature which promotes its popularity. The movie is a 3-D one which provides you with the effect of a strong reality taking you into the movie with all your senses. For example, when the hero spits on the screen, it is you to deal with it:D

All in all i can say i had a quite an exotic one and a half hour and i can strong recommend the movie for those who haven’t seen it yet!
