Wanted1Another Sunday…showing the slight face of winter…slowly….shy yet impatient…hesitant yet brave…so sending the raindrops just before the water gets frozen and turns into solid cold….

Another movie to accompany me on this low yet peaceful day…”Wanted”. It has been weeks since i had seen a new Hindi movie so today decided to see one of the new releases of this year and picked up “Wanted” ,although i had always hated Salman Khan till now, because it was the only one with subtitles…

Till the movie begins i had no idea who is the heroine to dance with the item songs and soon i came to know it was Ayesha Takia whom i did not consider talented as well as she always seemed a little buxom so incapable of running on the golden sands or dancing on a cliff. However this movie turned my standards and prejudices all upside down!!!

Salman, whom i considered till now as ugly and irritating with a pile of useless muscles with his over confidence and so-called cool guy postures, proved in this movie to be really fit, funny in a witty sense, cute and smart under the scope of a role composed of some Terminator, Rambo or Rocky type fighter. I should confess this is his first movie from which i got impressed in real sense from both the comedy scenes and action scenes. And the most attractive side of his was “not interested in love” attitude although he was carrying a deep love in his deep heart 🙂

As for the Ayesha, i believe she must really have lost some weight because she was looking extremely fit and beautiful. And again unbelievably she was dancing quite well and acting quite cute. I don’t know how to apologize from both 😛

The movie was an action movie on the surface but some witty jokes, word games, mimics, and some specific scenes were also categorizing it as a comedy which i can truly say made me laugh at many times. The the songs were high-quality with hyper rhythm and melodious lyrics, my favourite being “Love Me Love Me” 🙂

I don’t wana disclose much spoiler regarding the topic line hence let me summarize the subject very shortly. A fearless man working with gansters only for money and nothing else. He is the one unbeatable person, an undefeatable terminator within the whole underworld. He seems to be a bad chap by behavior but an unknown mystery inside, and that is why the girl who falls in love with him cannot decide whether to keep loving him or to forget him. Beside this indefinable love story continuing on one side, there are these big murders of gangs and police forces on the other side to lead a big surprise in the end (which you will find out on seeing the movie) and our hero takes the best place on the center.

All in all i enjoyed quite much the cast, the story, and the songs hence it gets a 5/5 from me 🙂

P.S. Salman-ji and Ayesha-ji, please mujhe maaf kar do for not discovering you long before in many ways 😛

anjaamI left two extremely busy days behind struggling to catch up with the workload at office. Days were quite killing yet i am alive! 😀 On these miserable days of mine, my unique supporter was (bilkul) Shahrukh Khan 😛 I wouldn’t have been able to overcome the nights of those hectic days without his golden movies refreshing my mind taking me far away from where i am keeping every stressing thing out of my mind and surrounding my soul with sarees, bindiyas, bending eye-brows, ‘bada bada’ tear drops, romance-full dancing scenes, scenes from real India and its rural people, and lovely songs finding life in velvet voices. Ahh!! Such a long sentence for such a sharp feeling…Let me summarize…Anjaam & Karan Arjun under the scope of Shah Rukh Khan 😀

When i found these movies, i had no idea what they were about. Yet soon i discovered that Anjaam depicts SRK as a maniac whereas K&A describes him as a lover, a dedicated son and a brother. Isn’t it weird that an Indian man named SRK fits each and every role perfectly as if he is a dedicatedly maniac born lover 😛

In Anjaam, Madhuri Dixit accompanies him. She acts as the woman (Shivani) with whom SRK (Vijay) is deadly in love, which is to be turned into an obsession soon. Although Madhuri gets married and has kids and leads a happy life with her family, that does not prevent him from getting what he wants, aka Shivani. And this endless obssesion causes the death or the injury of the half of the cast!!!

The catchy thing in the movie (apart from SRK of course) is the amazing dancing skills of Madhuri!

I always love SRK when he is a romantic hero saying “Raj naam to suna hoga” or “main hoon na”; however i should confess that even the obsessiveness fits him when it is about love 😀

At the end of this high-action movie, i could not decide whether the end is happy or sad as it varies from different angles. Let me know if you watch the movie and arrive at a decision. Theek?!

Karan%20ArjunHowever, in Karan Arjun, we are again face to face with a SRK who is brave, strong, intelligent, good at fighting, good at loving, romantic with a fierce or emotional looks according to the situation. Salman Khan and Kajol share the scene with him. I guess i repeated now and then that i don’t like Salman Khan at all but after this move (seeing his face carrying a teenage innocence) my hard feelings started to melt a bit! As for Kajol, she is like a perfect match for SRK with her simplicity and purity. Here the topic line is quite random for the ones who believes in reincarnation and quite odd for the non-believers and very interesting for both sides because here we witness the re-birth of the very same persons, Karan and Arjun to take the revenge both for their restless souls and for their unfortunate mother. The movie is a really good example of family bonds, and encourages one to have strong belief in whatever they believe!

I loved the soundtrack of Karan Arjun and the dance scene where SRK and Kajol jumps and hops like little kids at a stray house. You wana see proof? See below 😀

P.S.: Curious about my rating? 4/5 for Anjaam and 5/5 for Karan Arjun, and 10/5 for SRK 😛

slumdog_millionaireOne of the most influential movies i have seen recently leaving your mind in shock and your eyes wide open even after the screen says “the end”. Frankly speaking, i didn’t hear the name of the leading actor of this movie before–Dev Patel–and i should emphasize that despite his young age he does a really cool job there…

The movie proceeds with flashbacks…a young boy with slam area backround joins in a “who wants to be a millionaire” competition just to reach the girl he is in love with rather than the money itself…as the competition goes on he seems to know the answer of each and every question no matter how simple, difficult or intellectual  the questions are! Just before the last questions he is taken under arrest in order to be interrogated whether to find out he cheats or not…Then comes the heart-breaking part of the movie…He starts to exlain how he knows each question right and each explation corresponds to another bitter memory from his suffering life…

The audience is now face to face with his/her conscience….A childhood spent in a shanty town, withnessing her parents’ death, stuck between some religious fights, getting stabbed in the back by his own brother, a painful love story, cruel face of the real world and many other points to be touched…

It is not a chick-flick movie to have some nice time and distract your mind from the daily stressful flow of life; on the contrary it conveys messages to the audience and make him/her think about certain things once again…

We are not able to choose a life to live but our destiny has the power to choose for us!
