The inspiration behind my literary journey has been my memories, the power behind my pen has been my emotions, my feelings, my insight, and the motto behind my writing has been Shah Rukh Khan’s following words: “I SELL DREAMS, and want to make the people happy, even if it is only for a few hours”.
In the same way, i want to make people laugh, cry, smile, feel, sense, recognize, remember, think, see, notice, etc. via my poems, short stories, ramblings or just some random photos from which the reader or the viewer can smell the past, present or future–shortly the life–in his/her own way, even if it is for a few minutes!
And who am i? I am just a random person with a random life…

Dear Choti,
I just came across your website in search for information on Tebrizli Sems, as I recently started reading Safaks ‘Ask’. I’ll try to follow your website in the future and see what interesting books you’re reading.

It was just yesterday that i came to know by chance that your blog has been moved.

All the best wishes…. 🙂
Oh…glad you liked it!
Thanks a lot for your kind complement 🙂
You know not many people sell dreams these days. Unfortunately most of our dreams are torn away by non-dreamers.
I am interested in your Anı entries in Turkish.
Please drop by at my blog : storieswithinboundaries – I too like to write about our once only life journey and our life experiences.
look forward to meaningful exchange.
regards
sultan dogan
You are so right Sultan, it is quite a hard task to find unfaded dreams these days!
Unfortunately, i have to quit my Turkish blog ‘Anı Defteri’ due to lack of time [as i have recently had twins so sparing all my time for them :)]
i will surely check your blog as i love to explore new blogs hence new worlds…
Regards,
Choti 🙂
Hi!! I am so happy to see your website! I am going to present “The Bastard from Istanbul” from Elif Shafak, too. You may have read it? If you did, do you have any comments about this one of Elif Shafak?
I would be pleased and it would be a great help for me to have other opinions, because nobody in my surrounding knows this book!!!!!
Just would be so thankfull….
Love and greetings from Germany
Hi Kübra,
It is my pleasure to welcome you at my blog! The book you mentioned was published in 2006 under the Turkish name “Baba ve Piç”. I had read it then but at that time i was not keeping a blog hence it is not included here.
As far as i can remember the book was simply about the relation between the Turks and Armenians basing on the lives of two families. And the story was taking place between İstanbul and America. Leaving the political or social issues beside, i can clearly recall that the story was a great one to read. So if you already know Shafak’s style and if you like it, you may also find this book worth reading.
i would love to help you with more details but you know years pass so quickly and our memories are just too weak to store everything 🙂
As a side note, if you know Turkish (that i believe you know), you can google the book with its Turkish name which will result in more satisfactory reviews for sure.
Greetings from Turkey,
Und bis spater 🙂
Choti
many many choti coming dis site
Are you from India?
Hi Raj…No, i am not from India.
I am from Turkey…
So nice to hear from you. Actually, I noticed that you’re from Turkey after posting my comment. But I couldn’t find a way to remove the comment then. I saw you like Shah Rukh Khan, and I am from his country; so at first I thought you might be from India too. 🙂
Are you, by any chance, from Istanbul? I’ve read a lot about Istanbul, in Orhan Pamuk’s novels.
I would love to be an Indian yet i am proud of being Turkish…and yes, you are right, i am from Istanbul.
I like Orhan Pamuk’s books as well…
So which city of India are you from?
Of course, you have every reason to be proud, being a Turk. Despite all the political tensions, Turkey is a beautiful country after all. Someday I will surely visit you country.
I am from Guwahati, a city in the north-eastern part of India. Unfortunately this is the poorest region in the country.
Yea, being apart from politics, Turkey is a real paradise to visit. Surely you should come one day…
i have never heard of Guwahati. I mostly know about famous cities such as Mumbai, Goa, Hyderabad, etc…
