I was kidnapped by some thoughts of a hot summer afternoon being half sleepy half awake…Haziness and laziness were prevailing in my room where the time had already stopped to flow…It was hard to open my eyelids yet was not easy either to keep them closed…I don’t know how long i stayed like that…when i finally found an exit to the real world (coming into my senses), once again i thanked God as it was another Sunday when i have the time, will and opportunity to sleep as much as i want. And believe me it is such a blessing for the ones who are extremely fond of sleeping lazily just like me 😛 But in the end i said “Bas…” and got out of bed immediately just to meet my readers here 🙂 That much laziness is quite enough, isn’t it?

Today i have a surprise for you! A friend of mine, indeed one of my best friends, indeed my best friend, indeed an Indian, indeed an IT guy, indeed man of feelings, sensitive and humanistic, indeed caring and understanding and indeed as crazy as me has agreed to share with us one of his poems 😀

When i first offered him to write about anything as a guest writer (as i read a few pieces by him earlier and as i like his writing style yet he does not keep a regular blog himself due to lack of time i believe), he suggested he can write about me but i kindly refused this suggestion as my readers were not ready yet to know about me in detail as my personality can be scary at times 😛 Then he asked “phir what else should i write?”…i said “anything” and he sent me the following poem to be posted here.

HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU

The day came I was daring for

When you left me forever

And I didn’t get a chance to tell you

HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU!

You came into my life and you know

I found a goal of my life

That was to live for you

That was to take care of you

But now you just went and

I didn’t get a chance to tell you

            HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU!

Since the day you went

Nothing suits me, nothing impresses me

I don’t feel happy with the

Happiest of the things around me

Everything reminds me of you, and

I didn’t get a chance to tell you

HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU!

I go to places to forget everything

To bring back some joy in life

But all the places crowded with people

seem to be lonely to me

I don’t find joy anywhere without you coz

I didn’t get a chanCe to tell you

            HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU!

If you can still come back

You’ll find me waiting for you

With open arms to embrace you

To hug you and give you all my love

I want you to come back to me

So I could at least this time tell you

HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU!

Dear Rishi Gogia…thank you so much for honoring my blog with such a lovely poem which obviously reflects your deep and sincere state of heart…and hope she already came back 🙂

P.S.: The credit goes to my dearest husband for the “guest post” icon above 🙂

Is there anyone who does not know yet that i love tags? Tell me tell me…is there anyone? 😛 Let me thank lady BlueMist for today’s tag, which is in a way different from the previous ones i was tagged. As a member of the chain all i have to is to open my first photo folder, to scroll down to the 10th photo and to post it here together with the story behind it. Sounds easy, short and enjoying, doesn’t it? 😀

Here we go!

Well i don’t have an interesting story to relate it…It is a view of Istanbul from the Bosphorus. You know Istanbul is famous for its bridges connecting Asia and Europe, and i had taken this photo last summer (July) on a shipboard between two continents. It was such a lovely day, i had fully enjoyed the sun and the refreshing smell of the sea and the shopping time with my husband after we landed on 😀

Well now i have to tag some other blog members here but i guess i will leave this tag open to everyone…anyone volunteer just pick it up and leave me a message…i would love to see some other photos 😀

The more dead, the less alive…

Others are living their lives while i am killing mine…while i am dying day by day…

Separating a part of mine from the whole with every new day…shattering my soul into millions of pieces…

Burning my say in the heat of silence…hiding the sparkles in my eyes behind my eyelids…

Burying my smile into my tears…

The more i am dead, and the less alive…

dear-diary[1]Sunday…a day about which i could have never been able to give a verdict! Sometimes it is my enemy telling me the piece of bad news as the next day is Monday when everything starts at the earliest time and at the fastest speed; other times it is my best friend heralding that i still have some time before throwing myself into the arms of the coming rat race of our routine lives…

Today is Sunday and today is better than previous Sundays because as of 7:10 pm i am writing my 200th post, and which will be about how i spent/am spending my Sunday 😀

I woke up at 10 am which was quite early for me as it was a Sunday morning 😛 But i was still feeling quite lazy hence i preferred to stay in bed for a further while. Instead of leaving myself in the hands of sleep angel, i started to read the book (The Other Boleyn Girl), about the end of which i am quite curious. After spending some nice time under the roof of British Kingdom with Hengry and some Boleyn girls, i reminded myself that there was more to do for me apart from dancing in a Ball or participating a dinner with the King himself 😛 Therefore, i got out of my warm bed and chose the path to the kitchen.

I always pay a special attention to my Sunday breakfasts, so i prepared a detailed royal one and enjoyed it to the end watching the Simpsons family at the same time. While sipping the last drops of my tea, i adviced myself to move my ass to peform my to-do list for Sunday which was composed of both boring and amusing items.

Following my list, first i cleaned the kitchen, then set up rooms, placed the dried clothes into my closets, and then did some ironing too. And last but not the least cleaned the carpets (athough i hate it :x). Considering i had gained a ground, i gave a break and checked my inbox and read some blogs during my rest. Afterwards, i went back to my read and lost myself once again in the conspirations of the majesty.

And then comes the dinner time (i skipped the lunch as i had my breakie at noon already). I turned into a housewife now again trapping myself in the kitchen. I cooked a vegitable dish, some pasta with tomato sauce, some fries, some ‘kofte’, and some salad. It took almost an hour to complete them all, and eating them was just a 5-minute process 😀

Then i spent some time on net to find bollywood movies while sipping from my Turkish coffee. I picked up ‘Bobby’ to watch tonite. Then i made some arrangements regarding my books and magazines to decide what to read next. Then i made a delicious fruit salad composed of banana, grape, fig and walnut and picked up a bollywood magazine to accompany it and now i am here writing this post. Most probably while you are reading this, i will be digesting my yummylicious bowl of fruits 😛

Oh, by the way, let me thank all of my readers for carrying me to this stage (to make me write that many posts) and to keep this place alive by their visits…Thanks everyone! 🙂

It is 7:43 pm right now, and what i am going to do during the rest of the day…possibly i will keep reading the book, will see a movie, will write a card for a friend as tomorrow is her birthday (Happy Birthday Jas 😀 ), then will prepare my handbag and clothes for tomorrow and lastly will let my conscious to melt away on the laps of sleep angel 🙂

Dear Diary…now i know you never believe me without any proof hence this time i brought some evidence with me to witness my entire day 😛

Yeh meri zindagi hai…kya kahe…yeh kuch aisa hai…

Kambakkht Ishq1I was so happily hyper on hearing just before my vacation that a Bollywood movie “Kambakkht Ishq” would be on cinema screens in Turkey. However, when i was back, i came to know that it was a false alarm. I searched all the nearby cinema halls on net just to find out that there was no chance for it 😦

Feeling hopeless and upset, i consulted my usual reliable source for Bollywood movies on net and at last could see the movie. I am not sure whether it did worth to be sad that much over it because i really don’t know what to think about this movie.

Akhay Kumar was quite funny, jelly and jolly as ever and although he does not have the sprit or the charisma for the screens, i should say i am quite satisfied with his movies composed of stupid jokes, funny mimics, and some emotional and sociological messages given at the end.

As for Kareena Kapoor, sadly i won’t be able to give the same opinion. Yes, she has the charm, beauty, an attractive figure, hotness, but surely not the cuteness. She acts quite well but there is still this little thing keeping me irritated on her apperance.

Regarding the topic…well, we hardly think of a Bollywood movie without the love theme, right? Hence it was smelling romance in the air, action on the ground and comedy in between 🙂 A girl (future doctor) and a boy (a stuntman) who both hate “love” itself and urge lovely couples to break up as well, fall in love with each other in the end…that is what happens very briefly.

The scene which i fully loved and laughed at like anything was the one when Kareena forgets a watch in Akhsay’s stomach during an operation that keeps chanting “om mangalam mangalam” once in every hour, especially at unexpected moments…That was really cute!

Oh! By the way, appearance of some Hollywood stars like Silvester Stallone was another lovely color in the movie being not the center of attraction as expected though…

All in all…Kambakkht Ishq does not contain any important message for the audience, does not render any significant emotion, does not give the audience anything good or bad but still a nice timepass! Hence my rate is 3,5/5!

P.S.: If you get any chance, listen to Om Mangalam from the soundtrack which has quite a vivid melody 🙂

While i was setting up my room today, i heard a weak whisper calling my name, “Hey Choti!” I was surprised as i was alone in my room at the moment, there was no one else visible. I stood still for a while and concentrated on the silence of the walls and windows. There was no voice at all. “I must have been mistaken” told myself and kept on doing my work till i heard the second voice which was a bit stronger than the first one, “Hey, we are talking to you!” Now that made me freaked out. I looked around screening the whole room with my eyes before running out in screams. But then my eyes hooked on my little friends who were smiling at me as if nothing happened. “Guys, it was you, right?” They giggled altogether. “Stop laughing now! You really scared me you bad kidos.” I was angry for a second but it all disappeared when i came face to face with them; while their wide-open eyes were focused on me in anxiety being unable to guess what would my next action be, this time i burst into laughing.

“Yes kidos, what is the problem?” They kept silence for a while as if they were deciding the spokesman among them and Miss Ladybug (being the older) took the floor,

“We heard you have a blog.”

“Yes, that is true but who told you this?”

“We heard about it while you and your hubby were talking about it”

“Ahan…Ummm so?”

“We also heard you make people popular like Shah Rukh Khan or Rahul Roy so we kindly request you to make us popular as well.”

On hearing this i just couldn’t help myself laughing like anything for minutes and i could stop only when i reliazed that they were frowning with an upset face.

“Listen kidos, those people you just mentioned are already famous. Their popularity has nothing to do with me. I just share my likes or dislikes, my positive or negative thoughts or feelings on fames. Understand?”

This time baby turtle started to talk with an utmost excitement in her tone being the younger, “That means you can introduce us to your readers, and you can also kindly mention how much you love us, can’t you?”

I smiled and nodded which caused a festival atmosphere in the room supported by their clapping with their tiny, cute hands. Then they took their best posture to produce the perfect photo saying “cheese” altogether 🙂

Here we go kidos…in the below photo let me introduce you (from left to right) Miss Ladybug, Mr. Doggie (aka Indi), Miss Baby Turtle and Miss Rabbit (aka Pinkie). These are my little friends decorating my bedroom sitting in a wooden box the whole day. They are friendly, cute, warm and lovable friends. They are good at making you smile or occupying your guests’ babies at times. And most importantly, each one has its own meaning, reminding me of a time period or a moment in my life!

I love you kidos 🙂

dilse-chaiyyaI believe most of my readers came to know already that i’m not Indian by nationality but by heart. Yes, i am not Indian indeed and i have never been to there either yet i have a deep love for this colorful country which causes me time to time to make some plans to visit India and basing on this yet-to-be-realized idea, i always make wishlists of what i am going to do there once i reach on this dreamland…

  • On the top of my list comes visiting a Bollywood theatre and watching a SRK movie on a giantic screen for the first time. Since we don’t have any Bollyood movies released in Turkish cinema halls, i am just restricted to net or some DVDs (if i am lucky to find them on the shelves). When i just imagine SRK’s looking at the audience with his bending eye brows and bada bada tear drops, or his dancing haule haule with his mate in Saree, or  his saying KKiiiiirrrraaannnn, i feel quite impatient to make it realized 😀 (However, if not any SRK movie released at the time of my visit, i am open to any movie as long as it is Bollywood 😀 ).
  • Secondly, i would love to get on a Riksha. That might sound a bit odd, stupid or funny but seeing thousands of them in movies, i am surely in love with these tiny carriages. They are cute and warm by appearance and i am always hungry for new experiences 😀
  • Laddos…Yep…you didn’t misheard me…i want to taste those yellow round sweet food by my definition. I saw them for the first time in the movie “Water” by John Abraham and Lisa Ray and that scene with laddo affected me so much…That is the basic reason i want to eat one and the common reason is that i always hear that they are very yummyylicous, aren’t they?? 😛
  • That is a classic one done almost by each and every tourist to India…Do you have any guess? Let me give you some clues…Shah Jahan…Mumtaz Mahal….symbol of a great love saga…..yes, you are right. I would like to see Taj Mahal in real…not in 3D, 4D or 5D as i am fed up with seeing it only in movies…i want to touch its marbles and feel the great history and love lying just under…Oh! i won’t forget to be taken of a photo just in front of it as this is the most common tradition accepted by every tourist 😛

Well, that is all for today…nahi, na, no, nope…the list is not over…how can it be while i need almost a year to spend in India if i am to realize one and each item in my mind…so to be continued! 😀

P.S. VERY HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY! Please accept this little gift below from my side to all Indians across the whole world 🙂

imagesMy Dear Diary, although you are not as famous as the one of Jane Austen, you are still hiding lots of msytery and merit among your pages, aren’t you? 😛

When i was taking a peek through my blog this morning, it occured to me that i didn’t make any sum up for a quite while and said to myself  “why not now…although not happened too much”…

  • Just two weeks ago i left behind a hilarious 3-week summer vacation, the amazing taste of which i still feel on my soul which had taken a deep rest but put into anguish again due to the 1-week of busy schedule at office!  Still, as i always mention here and there, i love to be busy!
  • Esential bit of my life, regular visits to Starbucks, is still on its way properly. I was just yesterday at Starbucks and this time i had lemon-flavoured cake with the company of tall-latte. Ah! i just can’t give up on its taste and smell although it means half of my salary is invested in their capital 😛
  • Meanwhile, i have maintained to continue my intellectual activities…watching movies (mostly Bollywood) and catching up with my reading wishlist! I have “Kalyug”, “The Last Vampire”, “Luck”, “Kambakt Isqh” at hand yet to see. Any idea on any of them?! By the bye, i started to read “The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory” and “Emma by Jane Austen”. The handsome gentlemen and fabulous ladies of both already won my heart although i am just at the start of both reads. (Let me give you a secret, no one can take the place of Mr. Darcy 😛 )
  •  These days i am again at trouble in the kitchen. I never say i don’t have the ability to cook but the will! i am just not fond of cooking by any means. Recently, although i spared a lot time for cooking, half of the time was spent on deciding what to cook indeed. So any kind of easy and practical recipe is very welcome here 😀

My dearest Diary, i guess that is all for now. Even if there is to say yet, my still sleepy mood lets me neither to think nor to write…isliye baki baatein baad mein 😀

Love,

Choti

ShahRukh_Khan_aur_Aishwar_48d352b982dc8Shah Rukh Khan & Aiswarya Rai…with whom i fell in love when i was first introduced to Bollywood through the movie “Devdas”! I was amazed at their acting, dancing, mimicking…I became a total fan. However, soon afterwards i came to know that these two have also some anti-fans, some haters, some protesters…then i met Amir Khan, who was the king of anti-SRK community…and they were blaming SRK as acting in floopy or lame movies giving nothing but fun and laughter or solely romance (note that all of which we need the most recently) while glorifying Amir making official declarations that he was the master of reality scenes, he was the messenger of what was not said yet. Meanwhile, Aishwarya was being compared by other Bollywood queens like Preity Zinta, Sushmita Sen, Kajol, Rani Mukerji and many others…She was being willified by Anti-Aish community saying she is nothing but a plastic doll. She was blamed to be unnatural and superficial…

Let me say i am not against any of the people whom i mentioned above. I don’t have any special hatred or dislike for any of them, and i like quite a lot watching all of them as each one has his/her way of marvellous acting. However, i just can’t understand what is wrong with SRK or Aish, and i am really curious how one can underestimate the soul, the constructive energy hidden in them!

Below is the video song, Ishq Kamina, of both…an excerpt from the movie Shakti, the Power…Just watch the dance and get the spirit…and if you are an especially anti-SRK, let me understand what he did wrong 😛

love-aaj-kal-1A tired mind and a slightly sick body (caught cold unfortunately) was thinking for a Friday night action as Friday is the best day of the week which is not to be wasted no matter how much tired or sick you are! Unfortunately at certain times, our metabolism (triggered by a laziness or a down-feeling) causes us to stay at home even on a Friday night, and at these times best way to enjoy oneself is to pick up a right movie for your soul which is already in search of an amusement in such a stressed life flowing always in hurry!

After watching a series of Shahrukh Khan movies such as Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam, Karan Arjun and Anjaam, i was really in need of a modern bollywood story with a fresh screen (I am still the biggest fan of SRK, that is an another debate 😀 ). There was the movie on my desk resting in silence for a day named “Love Aaj Kal” so i decided to go for it. I didn’t go for a search on net before seeing it as this time subtitles were available in English (unfortunately the subs were not matching the scenes, which i realized later on!).

Soon i discovered Saif Ali (the funny guy of bollywood) and Deepika Padukone (popularized by the movie Om Shanti Om thanks to SRK) were the leading cast. The movie was proceeding in two different times: the past and the present. Both telling about a love story embedded by some bollywood items. In the past, the relation between Jai Varhdan Singh and Harleen Kaun is so pure, simple yet strong and stubborn while the bond between Veer and Meera is modern, or rather post-modern even to have a break-up party, superficial and weak to split off at any moment.

love-aaj-kal01However, things start to change their interface and the so-called hollow love soon proved itself as deep as a sea that is only to be waken up by a stone thrown from the shore!

Saif Ali was as cool and funny as ever and Deepika was looking so like a delicate butterfly. I loved the scenes where she was acting as drunk so behaving more like a naughty kid. And yea i should say i love her clothes, whatever she wears just fits on her (which is hard not to envy 😛 )

What is to get from the movie is sometimes even if the truth is just lying in front of our eyes, we may not be able to see it with the eyes of our mind yet the heart sees everything in real, so that the love can be felt as true as a heartbeat!

I rate the movie as 4/5 as it is lack of a catchy soundtrack (we all know that item songs are quite important in a bollywood movie, don’t we?) yet still it worths more than watching…Let yourself get lost in it 🙂

anjaamI left two extremely busy days behind struggling to catch up with the workload at office. Days were quite killing yet i am alive! 😀 On these miserable days of mine, my unique supporter was (bilkul) Shahrukh Khan 😛 I wouldn’t have been able to overcome the nights of those hectic days without his golden movies refreshing my mind taking me far away from where i am keeping every stressing thing out of my mind and surrounding my soul with sarees, bindiyas, bending eye-brows, ‘bada bada’ tear drops, romance-full dancing scenes, scenes from real India and its rural people, and lovely songs finding life in velvet voices. Ahh!! Such a long sentence for such a sharp feeling…Let me summarize…Anjaam & Karan Arjun under the scope of Shah Rukh Khan 😀

When i found these movies, i had no idea what they were about. Yet soon i discovered that Anjaam depicts SRK as a maniac whereas K&A describes him as a lover, a dedicated son and a brother. Isn’t it weird that an Indian man named SRK fits each and every role perfectly as if he is a dedicatedly maniac born lover 😛

In Anjaam, Madhuri Dixit accompanies him. She acts as the woman (Shivani) with whom SRK (Vijay) is deadly in love, which is to be turned into an obsession soon. Although Madhuri gets married and has kids and leads a happy life with her family, that does not prevent him from getting what he wants, aka Shivani. And this endless obssesion causes the death or the injury of the half of the cast!!!

The catchy thing in the movie (apart from SRK of course) is the amazing dancing skills of Madhuri!

I always love SRK when he is a romantic hero saying “Raj naam to suna hoga” or “main hoon na”; however i should confess that even the obsessiveness fits him when it is about love 😀

At the end of this high-action movie, i could not decide whether the end is happy or sad as it varies from different angles. Let me know if you watch the movie and arrive at a decision. Theek?!

Karan%20ArjunHowever, in Karan Arjun, we are again face to face with a SRK who is brave, strong, intelligent, good at fighting, good at loving, romantic with a fierce or emotional looks according to the situation. Salman Khan and Kajol share the scene with him. I guess i repeated now and then that i don’t like Salman Khan at all but after this move (seeing his face carrying a teenage innocence) my hard feelings started to melt a bit! As for Kajol, she is like a perfect match for SRK with her simplicity and purity. Here the topic line is quite random for the ones who believes in reincarnation and quite odd for the non-believers and very interesting for both sides because here we witness the re-birth of the very same persons, Karan and Arjun to take the revenge both for their restless souls and for their unfortunate mother. The movie is a really good example of family bonds, and encourages one to have strong belief in whatever they believe!

I loved the soundtrack of Karan Arjun and the dance scene where SRK and Kajol jumps and hops like little kids at a stray house. You wana see proof? See below 😀

P.S.: Curious about my rating? 4/5 for Anjaam and 5/5 for Karan Arjun, and 10/5 for SRK 😛

Three weeks of vacation is over and Choti is back to type with all her “stupid” ideas stirring in her “pagal” mind 😛 First of all, i should say that i am both sad and happy at the same time. I am sad because i left great days behind, great as in peaceful and refreshing. I am happy because i am back to all the things that i missed a lot during my leave such as my typing at my laptop, reading blogs for hours, watching Hindi movies (i just watched Sirf Tum today), drinking coffee at Starbucks, visiting my favourite bookstore (D&R) and spending a fortune there ( 😦 ) and no need to mention that i missed my bed and my pillow which are the essential part of my nights with deep and long sleeps 😀

I just realized that i cannot tell you every single detail of my vacation as it needs another wholly spared blog to express fully and correctly each and every day and night but i can just make a medley of moments with some photos which i shot ‘bas tumhara liye’ (for all of my readers) 😀

My first destination was Mersin which is a city with a shore to Mediterranean. We have a summer house over there which is quite close to sea and with a cute swimming pool as you can see in the below photo. I love swimming so every morning i swam regularly which i believe kept me fit although i ate like a little bear 😛

DSC01832

I spent there great days making use of the sun, sea and sand mixture to the fullest! And my next destination was my hometown Zonguldak which is a city with a shore to Black Sea. I visited my parents there and participated my cousin’s wedding. It was such an awesome feeling to be among the people i love and to meet with all those familiar faces let it be some relatives, some friends or neighbors.

I played with the cats during the days which my sister keeps within her garden. One is still a kitty and the other one is her mother. They are quite naughty but my sister is able to sooth them. I should say they are extremely cuttteeeeee. Don’t you believe me??? Ah! See yourself!

DSC02037

They are having a nap after the lunch. See how the baby is hugging her mom 🙂 Other cutie pies that i met during my visit were my cousins. They were just babies when i last saw them and now it is hard to believe that they are teenages. Does it mean i am getting older? Oh, no! 😛 Good news is i have too many cousins and there are still some babies among them, and i achieved to catch one of them again eating something which is his favourite timepass 😀 While he was eating his cookie, i was just planning to bite his ‘choti choti’ hands 😛

DSC02055

Other than playing with cats and meeting my lovely cousins, i spent some time in the garden where my mom grows some fresh vegetable like tomato, cucumber, green pepper, eggplant, etc. I should say when it is from your own garden, the vegetable is much more delicious as it is grown with love and care coming from a mom’s heart! 🙂

DSC01993

There are still too much to tell you but unfortunately i have neither time nor energy to mention each and everything here but still these are the main points making my vacation a great time spent with great joy. And i hope you can also enjoy while reading as much as i did while experiencing 🙂
